Terms of Service

By using this site or our services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

Who we are

China Care Journey is run by an individual with a small team, not a registered company. Contact: contact@chinacarejourney.com. Words like "we" and "us" mean China Care Journey.

What we do, and what we do not do

We are a coordination service. We help international patients and families find a suitable hospital, book appointments, prepare documents, translate and accompany them at the hospital, and arrange related travel. We also provide information on this site.

We are not a hospital, clinic or doctor. We do not diagnose, treat, prescribe or give medical advice. Our escorts help you communicate and get things done; they do not make medical decisions. All medical decisions are made by you and your doctors. Please read our Medical disclaimer .

We do not promise that a hospital will accept your case, that you will get an appointment with a particular doctor, or any medical result.

Hospitals and other providers

Hospitals, doctors, airlines, hotels, travel agencies and other providers are independent from us. Their services are covered by their own terms, prices and rules. We are not responsible for what they do or fail to do. Hospital fees are paid by you directly to the hospital. A hospital's name on our site is for information only and does not mean it endorses or works with us.

Fees and payment

Our fees are listed on our pricing page and in the written quote we send you. A booking starts when you accept the quote and pay. Prices exclude hospital fees, flights, accommodation, insurance, visas and local transport unless the quote says otherwise. Amounts are in US dollars unless stated; your bank or payment provider may charge its own fees. Cancellations and refunds follow our Cancellations and refunds page.

Your responsibilities

  • Give us accurate and complete information, including your medical history and current medicines. We rely on it.
  • Check that you are fit to travel, hold a valid passport and the right visa, and have suitable travel and health insurance. We do not provide these.
  • Follow your doctors' instructions and the hospital's rules.
  • Treat our staff and hospital staff with respect. We may stop the service if safety or respect is at risk, and the refund rules will apply.

Information on this site

We write our pages with care and give the date they were last checked. Medical information is general and may be out of date. Prices, visa rules and hospital practice change; confirm with the hospital or authority before you rely on them. We do not guarantee the site is always available or free of errors.

Our responsibility to you

We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows:

  • we are not responsible for medical outcomes, delays, refusals or decisions by hospitals, doctors, airlines, hotels, authorities or other third parties;
  • we are not responsible for loss that we could not reasonably have foreseen, or for indirect or business losses;
  • our total liability for any claim connected with a service is limited to the service fees you paid us for that service.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.

Events beyond our control

We are not responsible for failure or delay caused by things we cannot reasonably control, such as illness, natural disasters, epidemics, strikes, changes in government rules, travel restrictions, transport disruption or hospital closures. We will tell you quickly and help you find another option.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. We will first try to settle any dispute by talking. If that fails, the dispute goes to the court with jurisdiction in the place where China Care Journey is based. If you are a consumer, you keep any rights that the law of your country of residence gives you and cannot be waived.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to you is the one in force when you booked.
